Raynaud at the 7th Cheongju International Craft Biennale in Korea

Raynaud and Bertrand Fèvre are proud to present the project "Ceci n'est pas" during the main exhibition of the 7th Cheongju International Craft Biennale, whose theme is "Contemporary Craft, NOW & HERE".

"Ceci n'est pas" is a porcelain sculpture of a giant tea cup, designed by visual artist Bertrand Fèvre. Its alternating bands of solidity and space represent the duality of all things; an existence that is both material and immaterial...

Raynaud's world-class porcelain expertise brought this design to life, and it was awarded first prize in the Limoges International Competition for Porcelain Creation, organised in conjunction with UNESCO and France's National Museums (RMN).

The scale of this piece of work (h:70 x l:100 x b:70 cm and weighing 75 kg) required Raynaud to tailor its porcelain firing, turning out and glazing techniques to the requirements of this exceptional project.

Five limited edition porcelain sculptures.

The porcelain sculpture was exhibited in the Gallery S. Bensimon, from November 23 to 27, 2010.
