Imari
Imari is the name given to these magnificent porcelains made in Japan on the island of Kyūshū. Adorned with cobalt blue and iron red, they magnify Japanese floral art and combine elements from the plant kingdom and the mineral world.
Elaborated in all shades of colors and patterns, this elegant reinterpretation brilliantly illustrates the contrast between the geometric patterns of the blue border and the watercolor composition imbued with lightness.
Its designer, Olivier Maillefer, delicately drew and hand-painted each element before reproducing it on porcelain, creating a profusion of gold and 17 colours.
